Staff begins moving into Rocky Mountain Labs addition in Hamilton, Montana. The West’s first biosafety Level 4 laboratory

After more than 500,000 hours of labor, 28 million pounds of concrete and enough rebar to stretch from Hamilton to Glacier National Park, the Rocky Mountain Laboratories newest research facility is nearing completion.

The $67 million Integrated Research Facility – which includes the West’s first biosafety Level 4 laboratory – is expected to be fully operational by fall.
