Seeley Lake. Montana residents respond to survey about future of town

The future of the town of Seeley Lake remains unclear with the closure of its largest employer and the steep cost of housing, but a local survey of the residents aims to hone in on new projects to improve the area.

The Seeley Lake Community Council worked with Glacier Country Tourism, a tourism stewardship nonprofit that encompasses western Montana, to develop the survey, and plans to form a working group to bring ideas from the results to fruition.

“It’s meant to be an organically formed group from the community, for the community,” Seeley Lake Community Councilor Sharon Teague told the Missoulian on Tuesday.
