Seattle venture capitalists establish Portland offices

Oregon Investment Fund does its part to bring VC expertise to Portland

As Seattle-based venture firms Evergreen Pacific Partners http://www.eppcapital.com and Buerk Dale Victor http://www.bcvllc.com determine how to spend their Oregon Investment Fund chunks, they’ll do so partly from new Portland offices.

Both firms said this week they’ll establish presences in Portland thanks at least partly to their OIF program participation.

The offices will be lightly staffed. EPP’s digs will likely only house Tim Bernardez, the Seattle-based firm’s partner who’ll oversee disbursement of EPP’s Oregon funds share, as well as an assistant. Buerk Dale Victor’s partners will rent a small space to use when they visit their local portfolios.
