NGA Center Hosts STEM Learning Lab for States at Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama

To help states develop the workforce of problem-solvers, innovators and inventors needed to ensure their ability to compete in the global economy, the NGA Center for Best Practices (NGA Center) today hosted a STEM Learning Lab for States at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Convened as part of NGA’s Innovation America initiative, the Learning Lab highlighted the importance of strengthening science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education—all vital disciplines for NASA careers—in the states. 18 state teams from around the country learned from leading national experts how to build and improve STEM agendas in their states. Participants also gleaned lessons from the "Alabama Story."
