Rep. Art Wittich proposes tax break for Montana engineering, computer science grads

A Bozeman lawmaker has introduced legislation in Helena that aims to give income tax breaks to engineering and computer science graduates from Montana’s public universities.

Republican state Rep. Art Wittich’s House Bill 404 would lower the income tax bill for Montana residents who are awarded a bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science. The credit’s size would be 20 percent of tuition paid for their degree, per year, for five years.
