Relocating for a Job That’s a Shorter Commute

Today’s high gas prices are putting a big dent in the paychecks of people who drive long distances to and from work. If you’re seeking to relocate, consider targeting metropolitan areas where the average commute time is minimal. Workers in Wichita, Kan., Omaha, Neb., Toledo, Ohio and Grand Rapids, Mich. have an average commute time of less than 30 minutes each way, according to a survey by Primacy Relocation LLC, a global relocation and global assignment service provider based in Memphis, Tenn.
