Please join campaign to ensure Missoula Children’s Theater legacy so it can inspire thousands through plays

My wife and I have pledged $250,000 as a challenge to MCT and the community to raise another $750,000.

The Missoulian recently (March 28) ran an article announcing Missoula Children’s Theatre’s launch of the "One Million Reasons to Say Yes" campaign http://missoulian.com/news/local/mct-launches-m-capital-campaign-to-grow-its-tours-performances/article_189cda3f-ed9b-562a-8f51-4203c7257506.html . The article disclosed that my wife and I have pledged $250,000 as a challenge to MCT and the community to raise another $750,000.

For me, this journey began over 20 years ago when I became involved in MCT as a board member. My children had been involved in MCT activities and I was amazed at the impact it had on them.

Stage Asset: MCT inspires thousands through plays

As a kid, I performed in a number of Missoula Children’s Theatre and Missoula Community Theatre plays. I use the term “perform” loosely, as acting was never my thing, but I loved the camaraderie of being part of a cast and I loved the music.

My brief stint as a chorus member in “Jesus Christ Superstar” firmly cemented my adoration of composer and playwright Andrew Lloyd Webber, a love that I have now passed on to my children.

MCT had an impact on me.
