Officials pushing program to help farmers. Utah’s Own label: Agriculture execs want help from the Legislature

State agriculture officials are trying to convince lawmakers and consumers that one way to help preserve farms is to buy food – specifically products grown or made in Utah.
The Utah’s Own label is being displayed at some grocery stores and a few seasonal Farmers Markets, but more residents need prompting on the significance of the logo, and more farmers and food manufacturers should be signing up to have their products highlighted, say state agricultural officials.
