Framing has begun for new townhomes and condos on the Northside in Missoula! Over the next few weeks, the structure will take shape at Charlo and Scott Street. The Scott Street Development spans 10 acres in Missoula’s Northside, with new street connections: - 3 acres for 89 for-sale homes, including 47 Community Land Trust homes for income-qualified buyers.
- 5 acres for mixed-use development, with retail space and 220 market-rate apartments.
Construction started in early 2024, with utilities and street grading completed. Paving is set for spring 2025. The first building, featuring eight townhomes for sale, is expected by January 2026. Condominiums and more townhomes will follow. When finished, this will be Montana’s largest development of income-restricted, for-sale homes on a Community Land Trust. 53% of the homes will be available to households earning up to 120% of the area median income. Through our Real Estate Development and Acquisition loan fund, NeighborWorks Montana provided gap financing for the Scott Street development. We are very grateful for the partnership with First Security Bank of Missoula and the efforts of the community to bring this project to life. This development will provide great homeownership opportunities for those living within the Missoula area and we are very happy that a number of these homes will be permanently affordable through the partnership with North Missoula Community Development Corporation. “NeighborWorks Montana is happy to collaborate with our partners and to see what an happen when communities come together and imagine a future housing project like this one!” Larry Phillips, Real Estate Lending Director Interested buyers can reach out to [email protected] to get started! |
