New paths will help keep bikes, scooters and skateboards out of traffic

Using money from a $1 per scooter, per day fee paid by Bird and Lime, the city plans to construct multi-use paths and “neighborways” on the city’s near southeast and near north sides. Neighborways are specially marked areas on city streets designed to safely move cyclists and scooter riders to their destinations by reminding motorists to share the road.
