Mozilla launches VC arm to make the internet better

Mozilla has launched a venture capital arm called Mozilla Ventures with a $35 million funding round that will invest in startups to “push the internet in a better direction,” says Mozilla Foundation president and executive director Mark Surman. “Mozilla’s vision for the future is that we can have an internet that is joyful and delightful, but also respectful and private,” Surman says.
