MontanaSky and Vero Fiber Merge to Boost Northwest Montana Broadband
MontanaSky and Vero Fiber plan a merger to expand fiber optic access in Northwest Montana.
MontanaSky, a local broadband provider founded in 1993, has agreed to merge with Vero Fiber, a subsidiary of VFN Holdings, Inc. This structural shift aims to accelerate fiber investment and improve customer experience across the region. The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
The merger will allow MontanaSky to leverage Vero Fiber’s national expertise in fiber-to-the-premises networks while maintaining the same local team and support under the MontanaSky name. Both CEOs emphasized the combined organization’s scale, resources, and local knowledge, which they say will enhance competition and offer customers more choice and better service. MontanaSky’s longstanding focus on underserved communities in the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana forms the foundation for this expansion.
The companies expect to close the merger immediately after regulatory approvals are obtained.
