Montana’s Media Arts in Public Schools (MAPS) Vies for $25K Grant

A media arts program in Hamilton is one of 200 finalist organizations in the running for a national, $25,000 grant from State Farm Insurance.

Peter Rosten founded the Media Arts in Public Schools http://www.mediarts.org/ program, known as "MAPS,"10 years ago after working as a movie producer for 40 years in Hollywood.

Rosten said MAPS has developed into an after-school film, design and music program.

Now, instructors say they’re vying for the grant, which they would use to purchase equipment and enhance other areas of the MAPS program.
