Montana Senator Jon Tester Hires Dylan Laslovich as New Chief of Staff , Pam Haxby-Cote as State Director and Justin Folsom as Legislative Director

U.S. Senator Jon Tester is announcing a new senior staff team to lead his D.C and Montana offices as he enters his third term.

Tester is hiring Dylan Laslovich as Chief of Staff, Pam Haxby-Cote as State Director and Justin Folsom as Legislative Director.

“I am proud to have such a talented group of individuals working with me to serve the people of Montana,” said Tester. “Together we will fight for Montana every day and hold Washington accountable to ensure a bright future for the next generation.”

Laslovich, a University of Montana graduate, has been working as Tester’s Legislative Director spearheading the Senator’s policy efforts on Capitol Hill.  Laslovich also previously served as the Senator’s Legislative Assistant focusing on natural resources, energy and agriculture.  He has worked for Tester since 2010.  Laslovich replaces Aaron Murphy, who is returning to Montana after managing the Senator’s staff for the past two years, and serving as his Communications Director.

“I am honored by this responsibility and look forward to continuing to assist Senator Tester in serving Montana,” Laslovich said.  “Senator Tester and his team will always stand up for Montana with common sense.”

Haxby-Cote, a Butte native, will oversee Tester’s seven in-state offices. She comes to Tester’s office after working as the Director of the Montana Department of Commerce. Haxby-Cote also previously worked for Tester as his Butte Regional Director specializing in economic development policy. Haxby-Cote replaces Dayna Swanson, who has worked for Tester for 12 years and is moving to Seattle.

Folsom, a Helena native, has worked for Tester for eight years focusing on infrastructure, commerce, telecommunications, and agriculture.  He also served as his Political Director on his successful 2018 campaign.
