Montana Governor Bullock Signs Bill Inspired By Havre Small Business Owner & Sponsored By Havre Legislator

When a small business owner’s enterprise was endangered, she went to her local legislator for help. Her legislator proposed a bill. And on Tuesday afternoon, Gov. Steve Bullock signed it into law.

Rep. Jacob Bachmeier’s House Bill 607 exempts Keeley Wilson’s small pet treat business, Ladybug Bites, from burdensome Agriculture Department regulations that would have assured its demise.

“This certainly has been one of my favorite bills to work on,” Bachmeier, a Havre Democrat, said shortly after Bullock signed the measure.
