Missoula’s mayor proposes tourism tax as part of 2020 budget

Missoula Mayor John Engen wants to lower property taxes by adding a tourism tax.

It’s one of the proposals he lays out in his 2020 budget plan.

Engen’s focus for his 2020 budget is on improving key areas of the city, such as policing, transportation and park maintenance.
