Kalispell Public Schools face a nearly $3 million budget deficit, risking around 36 layoffs and reduced work-based learning opportunities if the levy is not approved. Superintendent Matt Jensen emphasized the importance of the levy at a press conference on March 5th, saying, “This levy matters because it will determine whether we continue to build programs like you’ve heard today, or we head down the path of reduction.”
