Homework without a home: 100-plus Helena students considered homeless

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Helena public schools officials have identified more homeless students this school year than ever before.

"McKinney-Vento — a topic I think the community dearly needs to hear about," Jim McGrane, counselor at Helena Middle School, said.
