High hopes for new NorthWestern headquarters, Butte development
In just days, after months of talks and plans and dotting i’s and crossing t’s, dust will finally fly as work begins on the new Uptown digs for NorthWestern Energy http://www.northwesternenergy.com/ .
Several Uptown buildings have been revived in recent years, each adding spark to an area still struggling with empty structures and blight. And now hopes are especially high that NorthWestern’s $25 million Montana headquarters – a brand-new building at Park and Main streets — will usher in even more investments.
It will be the biggest Uptown building project in decades. It virtually ensures a multi-story parking garage will finally be funded and built. And the building project should pump millions of new tax dollars into the heart of Butte.
