Hi-Tec moving U.S. headquarters from California to Portland

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Hi-Tec http://www.hi-tec.com/uk , a bootmaker with roots in England but a western pedigree, will move its corporate headquarters to downtown Portland by year’s end, attracted by the area’s critical mass of outdoor gear talent, the company told The Oregonian.
