Montana Wilderness Association, in conjunction with the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Project, is proud to present “Hallowed Waters: The Legacy and Lifeblood of the Big Blackfoot” a five-minute film that captures the beauty of the storied Blackfoot River. The film also examines the critical role that the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act plays in protecting the overall health of the watershed’s wildlife habitat, native fish populations, and communities.

I invite you to view “Hallowed Waters” now.

After passage of the Senate lands package this week, the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act is the next opportunity for our Congressional delegation to find common ground in support of a bi-partisan, collaborative proposal. After viewing the film, join us in signing our letter requesting that Senator Jon Tester reintroduce the bill this year and urging Senator Steve Daines and Congressman Greg Gianforte to support the bill. You’ll be in good company, as 73 percent of Montanans across the political spectrum have indicated that they support the bill (according to the 2018 University of Montana Public Lands Survey).

With your help, the beloved, world-renowned river depicted in Norman Maclean’s “A River Runs Through It” will remain as it is for generations to come. Thank you for watching “Hallowed Waters” and sending a message to our delegation to take action.
