For tech philanthropists, charity may begin with analytics

Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt forecasts a huge wave of philanthropic money en route from aging Baby Boomers like himself.

But he urged nonprofits to follow the lead of the tech industry and better use analytics so donors know their money isn’t being squandered.
