“We are deeply honored and delighted to present such an important and inspiring documentary,” says Janet Rose, founder and organizer of the EQUUS INTERNATIONAL Film Festival, about its Best Documentary Finalist, Riding with thisAbilities, produced by CBS-TV editor and adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Matthew Handal, and how Manhattan’s Claremont Riding Academy and its horses touched young lives and families in unforgettable ways.

“On a personal note, as a former (but in spirit, lifelong) New Yorker now residing in Montana with horses, this film will have a resounding impact on all who see it. Growing up in New York, I remember the Claremont Academy. To learn, from this film, how the Academy’s program evolved and the impact it had on so many young lives is truly inspirational. Therapeutic riding changes human lives and we need to embrace and promote this growing field.”

Hold onto your tissues and your heart while watching this documentary about New York City kids with physical and mental challenges and how the horses at a riding academy in the unlikely center of Manhattan changed the course of their lives.

Please do not miss it at the EQUUS INTERNATIONAL Film Festival, March 14-17, at the Roxy Theater in Missoula, Montana. Tissues provided. http://www.equusinternationalfilmfestival.com.
