Early Stage Montana – Weeklong event held at MSU aims to help strengthen technology companies across Montana

Early Stage Montana

Bootstrapping. Grants and loans. Angel funding. Venture capital. The benefits and drawbacks of these and other sorts of funds were discussed during one session of an intensive weeklong program designed to strengthen Montana-based companies in their early stages.

The event, known as a “HyperAccelerator” program, was held June 3-7 in Montana State University’s Jabs Hall. Seven companies that performed well at regional showcase competitions held in Billings, Bozeman and Missoula – including four with ties to MSU – were selected to participate. The event was hosted by Early Stage Montana, a nonprofit that helps accelerate the growth of emerging technology businesses in Montana, with support from the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars at MSU and 406 Labs.
