We have an opportunity to change lives this September. Bring your knowledge, voice, and passion to support creating an equitable rural America by presenting at the 2013 Mobilizing Rural Communities (MRC) Conference September 25-26, 2013 in Great Falls, Montana.

We are looking for speakers who will engage, enrage and empower our community leaders, legislators and area partners. We want topics that decision makers need to be made aware of and want discussions to be had that build awareness of the needs of our rural communities.

"Equitable" for us means creating a fair and just social system for all Americans; it means fostering the belief that we all have a responsibility to seek equality for every person within our rural states by providing opportunities for community leaders and organizers to network and share ideas.

During the conference, we will be discussing several topics that directly impact rural families such as access to livable wage jobs, unmet basic needs, financial security, asset building, and growth policy.
We will focus on developing capacity at the local community level and the efficacy of building regional partnerships for greater economic equality while collecting resources, contacts, and best practices to implement in their communities.

Please detail within this Request for Proposal what topic(s) your presentation you will cover; tangible and transferable tools that participants can take away; best practices you will model; and the learning techniques you will use.

Each topic area at the conference will have sessions facilitated by practitioners and innovators from across the nation. Join us in creating this learning environment and continuing the movement of building a strong and viable rural America.

Presenters are responsible for providing their own materials, handouts, and equipment. We are able to offer presenters free registration. This will include meals offered at the conference. You will be responsible for your travel expenses. By submitting a proposal, the presenter expresses intent to fulfill the presentation role, if accepted.
