Montana Department of Commerce

“Especially at this uncertain time, our SBDC advisors are an invaluable, no-cost resource for business assistance, and will continue serving Montanans as we navigate the impacts of COVID-19.” Commerce Director Tara Rice

On the fourth annual SBDC Day, the Montana Department of Commerce is recognizing Montana’s small businesses and entrepreneurs, and the critical resources Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) provide.

Montana’s network of 10 regional SBDC centers provides no-cost support for entrepreneurs and small businesses at every stage of business development. In 2019, Montana’s SBDCs helped launch 61 new businesses and supported 2,303 jobs. Montana SBDCs have assisted more than 33,500 Montana entrepreneurs and helped to support more than 17,000 jobs since 1989.
