Crown of the Continent conference addresses tourism, region’s future

The founder of National Geographic’s Center for Sustainable Destinations looked out at 200 conservationists, government officials and academics Thursday, and offered a confession.

"My name is Jonathan Tourtellot and I am a tourist," he declared. "And this is my wallet."
