Come Home Washington – Executive Director – Northwest Entrepreneur Network

Peter Quinn, NWEN’s executive director since October 2007, is leaving us in late January to join the Northwest Maritime Institute in Port Townsend. As you may know, Peter’s second love (after entrepreneurship!) is sailing and with his move to Port Townsend last summer, he’s been commuting between Seattle and his home. Not an easy life (see Peter’s blog entry at http://www.nwen.org/blog). We congratulate the Northwest Maritime Institute on hiring Peter, but it does mean that NWEN is asking for your help in identifying and choosing our next Executive Director.

NWEN Executive Director
We believe the Executive Director position at NWEN is one of the best jobs in Seattle-Bellevue. As ED, you get to lead a dynamic nonprofit organization that is passionate about entrepreneurship, the start-up process, early-stage growth, and the connections that are made among entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals. You are truly the hub for entrepreneurship in the region.

The skill set for the Executive Director is broad and the job is demanding: leadership skills, passion for entrepreneurship, fund-raising experience, board and volunteer management, strategic planning, investor relations, and program development. For the right person, this is a dream job. If you’re that person, you have until January 12 to submit a cover letter and your resume to Ashley Cissell at [email protected]. If you know a great candidate for the job, please forward him or her this posting.

Let’s put the NWEN network to work! You can find the complete job description at http://www.nwen.org.
