OVERVIEW OF PRIME PROJECT
Umpqua Community Development Corporation of Roseburg, Oregon, has
received a Small Business Administration PRIME grant to create a
comprehensive recruitment, screening/assessment, technical assistance,
and long-term support program for low and moderate income
entrepreneurs in conjunction with utilization of Individual
Development Accounts. The PRIME project manager is a non exempt, ¾
time, one year grant project management position with potential for
annual renewal, and reports directly to the MEDAL Program Manager.
Job responsibilities:
• Development and coordination of targeted outreach, screening, and
service provision to disadvantaged entrepreneurs
• Link services with access to Individual Development Account funds
• Develop and maintain project evaluation matrix
• Increase the number of disadvantaged entrepreneurs who successfully
open and operate their own micro enterprise
• Track data related to clients and curriculum, and developing ‘best
practices’ for the program
• Manage PRIME grant and all associated record keeping and reporting
Necessary Skills:
• Minimum 3 years experience in small business development
• Grant management experience, preferably federal grant
• Proficient in the full Microsoft suite (esp. word, excel, access)
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work
independently
Additional Skills:
• Experience working with low/moderate income community members
• Experience developing/delivering educational trainings
