Casper City Council wants downtown housing to attract young professionals

There aren’t many places to live in Casper’s core, and local leaders suspect this dearth of downtown housing is preventing the city from attracting young professionals.
“All the research that I’ve seen says there are two things that young people want to see in a community that they are going to move to or stay in,” Mayor Charlie Powell said Monday. “One is a vibrant downtown … the second thing is they want to live down there.”
