The solar light pole maker http://www.inovussolar.com/ is still growing – and still based in Idaho.

The pole doesn’t need to be hooked to the electric grid, making it ideal for areas that wires don’t reach, whether on the outskirts of Boise or in Third World nations like Vietnam.
