Bend, Oregon solar company, PV Powered Inc., gets financial boost, plans to grow fast

Bend-based PV Powered Inc. http://www.pvpowered.com/ , which makes key components for solar panels, has received a multimillion dollar investment from a Vancouver investment group that could help triple the company’s size in two years.

PV Powered is the nation’s largest maker of inverters that convert DC power generated by solar panels into AC power for use by a utility or building. The new investment comes from Evans Renewable Holdings II LLC, comprised of principals of JH Kelly, an 85-year old construction company.
