Audition action. Energy, expression win roles in children’s play as the "Little Red Truck" from the Missoula Children’s Theatre comes to Twin Falls, Idaho

With 112 would-be performers in the room and just two hours for auditions, a youngster doesn’t have much time to make an impression.

But the visiting Missoula Children’s Theatre directors – Mallory Shear and Jacob Rorem – tell the crowd of children and teens at Valley Christian Church in Twin Falls exactly what it takes to snag a role in "Cinderella": A loud, clear voice. Big, expressive body movements. And careful attention.

"We have a lot to do this week," Rorem says. "So we need people who can listen and follow directions."
