Job Description

The Montana State Library (MSL) is currently looking for an economic development consultant. MSL is requesting bids from qualified individuals to provide expertise and guidance to help direct statewide programming in public libraries that supports local economic development. Many public libraries in Montana currently provide a variety of public programming, partnerships, and business services that can be tangentially linked to economic development efforts, and the State Library would like to make those efforts more focused and effective. We are seeking a consultant who can assist the State Library in determining what areas of economic development make the most sense for public libraries to focus on, give suggestions on how to best refine current economic development activities in libraries, as well as make recommendations on new efforts and projects for libraries across the state.

The solicitation is currently available for public viewing at http://www.bids.mt.gov (keyword search “Economic Development in Public Libraries”). Interested vendors may find information about registering in the State of Montana’s eMACS online procurement system at eMACS Resources (mt.gov).

More details about this opportunity may be found by reviewing the opportunity in the eMACS online system. Questions or other communications about this solicitation should be submitted through the Q&A Board in eMACS or to John Kilgour, MSL Grants Contracts Coordinator ([email protected], 406-444-4128), who is serving as MSL’s single point of contact for this opportunity. Unauthorized contact with other State staff about this solicitation may result in disqualification of a bidder from further consideration.
