Construction Superintendent – Contract Work
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Job Type: Contract | Approx. 2-Month Project
Location: Helena, MT
Schedule: Full-Time | Project-Based Hours | Project-Dependent Hours
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a short-term rebuild project involving the tear-down and reconstruction of an ambulance canopy. This role requires strong leadership, subcontractor coordination, and hands-on oversight of multiple trades to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality project completion.
Project Scope
- Tear-down and rebuild
- Coordinate and oversee all phases of construction
- Manage subcontractor performance and project timeline
- Concrete work
- Steel fabrication and installation
- Electrical work
- Mechanical systems
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily job site operations and overall project execution
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure alignment with project schedule
- Maintain safety compliance and OSHA standards on site
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure quality control across all phases of construction
- Identify and resolve job site issues quickly and effectively
- Maintain project documentation and progress updates
- Ensure materials, labor, and workflow stay on track
Requirements
- OSHA Certification required (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Strong experience managing construction projects and subcontractors
- Ability to oversee full project lifecycle on-site
- Proven leadership in commercial or complex construction environments
- Strong understanding of multiple trades (concrete, steel, electrical, mechanical)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
