We are inviting applications for two senior leadership positions to support the mission of the Mansfield Center. We are hiring a Deputy Director to serve a critical role with responsibility for managing programmatic, strategic, and administrative activities of the Center. We also seek a Director of Democracy Programs to bring leadership, initiative, and energy to Mansfield democracy programs.

Deputy Director

The Deputy Director works with the Executive Director to oversee administrative functions of the Center. The Deputy Director shares the critical duties of providing leadership in planning, implementing, and coordinating all administrative, educational, and programmatic activities of the Center. The Deputy Director also advises the Executive Director on strategic plans and policies to achieve the Center’s mission and specific programmatic goals.

Director of Democracy Programs

The Director of Democracy Programs will hold a unique position at a critical time in American democracy that requires an understanding of the needs of our nation and a demonstrated ability to effectively engage on such themes. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and leads all democracy programming by creating and overseeing opportunities for youth and community members to collaboratively strengthen democracy. While the position is based at an academic unit of the University, the position is practical rather than academic in nature.
