Biden Cabinet Member Travels to Billings for National Small Business Week (NSBW) Roadshow 

BILLINGS – On Friday, May 3, Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the voice in President Biden’s Cabinet for America’s more than 33 million small businesses, will travel to Billings, MT, for a stop on the SBA’s 2024 National Small Business Week (NSBW) roadshow.

In the morning, Administrator Guzman will join Billings Mayor Bill Cole for a tour of a local small business and innovation incubator, where Mayor Cole will also present an official proclamation in honor of NSBW. The tour will be open press. At the incubator, administrator Guzman and Mayor Cole will also host a closed-press roundtable with local small business and economic development leaders to discuss innovation and agriculture. Administrator Guzman will then visit an agriculture manufacturing business that used SBA loans to help finance its international trade operation.

In the afternoon, Administrator Guzman will provide the keynote address at SBA Montana’s National Small Business Week awards ceremony and recognize the 2024 winners. Following the ceremony, Administrator Guzman will visit the SBA Montana’s 2024 Women-Owned Business of the Year, which used SBA loans to start up and expand its business.

President Biden’s Investing in America agenda has helped bolster Montana’s Main Streets and innovation hubs, especially in agriculture – and local small businesses are leading the way, with 68,200 new business applications under the Biden-Harris Administration across the state. In honor of National Small Business Week, the SBA salutes the Montanans who innovate to help keep local neighborhoods vibrant and America globally competitive.
