University of Montana professor tests meth as stroke treatment – Sinapis Pharma

University of Montana researchers think the possibilities of stroke treatments lie in a drug that Montana knows all too well: methamphetamine.

Dr. David Poulsen, a research associate professor at UM’s department of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, has been testing the controversial drug on rats that have had strokes, and the results have been promising, Poulsen said in a University press release. Poulsen was unavailable for comment.
