1. Global Strategy Program certifies Montana Service Providers and Companies in Global Trade
The Montana World Trade Center, Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Small Business Administration are offering a Global Trade Certificate Program providing professionals and businesses with the tools and resources needed to compete in the global market and adapt to globalization. Certified service providers and businesses will be listed in a state directory hosted by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
The program is a three part series with sessions throughout western Montana. Upon completion of the course, professionals can receive up to 40 hours of Continuing Education Credit, as well as 15 CLE credits approved by the Bar Association of Montana. An Announcement from Brian Pangrle, President, ITA Board of Directors
Please join me, the Board of Directors and our organization’s staff in welcoming Mark Peters as Executive Director of the International Trade Alliance (ITA). Mark is a native of the Inland Northwest, whose family goes back five generations in Northern Idaho. Mark has over a decade of experience with the U.S. Department of Commerce, most recently serving as Director of the U.S. Export Assistance Center for Montana.
On behalf of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Mark led collaborative efforts with international agencies, other federal agencies and state and local agencies. As an International Trade Specialist, Mark served in Portland, San Diego, Osaka and Buenos Aires. As a Congressional Fellow, Mark served the U.S. Senate on trade policy issues. Overall, Mark’s knowledge of international standards, worldwide business practices and federal appropriations will be an asset to our business members and governmental sponsors.
Mark received a B.S. in International Relations from Lewis & Clark College. He is married and father to a daughter and twin sons.
Mark is an enthusiastic leader with global vision, technical expertise and energy. Under Mark’s guidance, the ITA looks forward to building new partnerships and strengthening its existing partnerships to grow international trade in the Inland Northwest.
