Feds propose $1 Billion Idaho National Laboratory upgrades

The Idaho National Laboratory’s http://www.inl.gov Naval Reactor Facility is in dire need of a makeover, according to the federal government, and the proposed upgrades are expected to carry a $1 billion price tag.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program has proposed plans to rebuild or repair buildings and equipment at the facility, which is located at the 890-square-mile federal nuclear research area in eastern Idaho.
