Development group touts economic impact of downtown Billings
November 17, 2015 /
Downtown Billings is home to 2,221 people, 30 percent of them between the ages of 20-39.
It’s also the place where 21,504 people — approximately the population of Kalispell — work. Those workers, who toil at 1,113 downtown businesses, bring home annual paychecks totaling $1.02 billion.
Those numbers — and more — came from the quarterly report of the Downtown Billings Partnership, presented to the Billings City Council on Monday by the group’s development director, Greg Krueger.
Krueger said the one number he’s not satisfied with is the 2,221 downtown dwellers.
