Grant set to help bring 20 high-tech jobs back to the Gem State

A $45,000 state Gem Community grant will help the city of Moscow bring 20 high-tech jobs back to the area.

The grant will be used to design a technology development center in Alturas Technology Park in Moscow. Advanced Hardware Architecture http://www.aha.com/ will be the anchor tenant. The company designs technology and products for the telecommunications industry.

AHA will employ about 20 people at the new location and plans to hire eight more workers in the next two to three years. The company experienced rapid growth in the 1990s and moved to Pullman because a suitable site for expansion wasn’t available in Moscow.

Company President Bill Thomsom said AHA wanted to be near the University of Idaho’s engineering program.
