Montana Child Care Resourse & Referral Network, partnering with Montana Community Development Corporation offers a special loan fund designated for lending to child care providers in the state of Montana.

The Child Care Loan Fund was established about a year ago through a special appropration from Senator Conrad Burns. The original amount was $150,000.

To date, we have loaned out about $70,000 and have about $80,000 remaining to lend to child care providers in Montana.

Interested applicants should contact Montana Community Development Corporation (MCDC) toll free at 888-745-5601, extension 208. MCDC requires applicants to be licensed child care providers. They will need to be prepared to fill out a loan application, answer questions about their business and prepare cash flow projecitons. They will also need to submit historical financial information such as personal and business financial statements and tax returns. Help is available for the preparation of the loan application package through MCDC, or any Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in the state of Montana.
