The cities of Rock Springs and Green River Wyoming are working toward the implementation of the Southwestern Wyoming Enhanced & Expanded Telecommunications Network (SweetNet).

SweetNet is an advanced fiber optic telecommunication network designed to benefit ALL residents and businesses in Green River and Rock Springs.

By creating a private/public partnership between local government and private enterprise as an Open Service Provider Network (OSPN) the SweetNet will provide state-of-the-art telecommunication services including telephone, television, and Internet services, at the same, or lower, prices than community members are presently paying for these services.

Lower prices are made possible because the SweetNet will remain open to competing service providers; thus, taking full advantage of the free enterprise system upon which America was built!
