The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

City Web site opens on economic development

The city of Spokane’s Economic Development office has opened its first Web site devoted to easy access to key business information.

"This new site will allow us to better communicate with citizens and our partners on economic development initiatives, programs and projects," said Tom Reese, the city’s economic development adviser.

The Web site, http://www.spokanecityed.org , will be the primary marketing and communication tool for the city’s economic development initiatives.

Civic Mind Media, of Coeur d’Alene, designed the site.

Included are sections on business and developer assistance, innovation development and other areas.

News, meeting announcements and articles will be posted on the site.
