SoFi CEO Mike Cagney Resigns Following Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

The CEO of personal finance company Social Finance Inc. will be stepping down before the end of the year following allegations of sexual harassment at the online lender, known as SoFi.

Mike Cagney, who cofounded the company in 2011, sent a company-wide note on Monday evening announcing his decision, writing: "The combination of HR-related litigation and negative press have become a distraction from the company’s core mission."
