Butte’s economy sees slow gains
February 5, 2016 /
Butte-Silver Bow has the 11th highest per-capita income rate — at $44,883 annually — among Montana’s 56 counties, people attending an economic outlook seminar Thursday were told.
At the same time, Butte has experienced a 1 percent increase in employment, and its unemployment rate is slightly above the state’s rate of 4 percent.
John Kasperick, director of financial planning and analysis at NorthWestern Energy, related the figures to a room of county officials and business leaders, who gathered at the new NorthWestern Energy headquarters building at Park and Main.
