Hundreds of small business owners converged Friday at the University of Montana for Sen. Jon Tester’s 15th Small Business Opportunity Workshop.

"This one’s about start-ups and how we can move them to the next level, really be all they can be," explained Tester.

MT small businesses urged to plan, and listen to grow operations

Montana small business owners are encouraged to be innovative, but never lose site of the basics like connecting with customers as they grow their operations.

Those were just two of themes sounded this morning as Senator Jon Tester sponsored 15th Small Business Opportunity Workshop on the University of Montana campus in Missoula on Friday morning.

Tester hosts small business workshop at UM

U.S. Sen. Jon Tester hosted his 15th annual Small Business Opportunity Workshop at the University of Montana on Friday, drawing marketing experts, shipping professionals, government officials and successful entrepreneurs together to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the state’s economic climate.

A crowd of nearly 200 showed up at the University Center Theater to network and listen to panelists discuss everything from digital marketing to manufacturing to building a successful brand.
