New Paper Examines the Connections of Social Change and Communications

A new working paper from the Rockefeller Foundation examines the connections between social change and communications in the 21st century.

The report concludes that social change is more likely to be sustained if the people and communities most affected by the change “own” both the process and the content of communication.

The report also recommends emphasizing community dialogue and debate rather than attempting to persuade people to a certain position through information from outside technical experts. See Communication for Social Change at http://www.rockfound.org/Documents/540/socialchange.pdf
