Missoula-based Rivertop Renewables launches consumer products division, tests global market

Just months after securing a 26-million dollar funding package, Missoula-based Rivertop Renewables http://www.rivertop.com/ is organizing a new division to handle consumer products, and is ready to start testing overseas markets for its unique "biobased" chemicals.

Just over two years after moving into the Montana Technology Enterprise Center, Rivertop Renewables is opening a second division to specifically produce and sell consumer-based products such as automatic dishwashing detergent.

The company announced this month that industry veteran Gerry Nuovo is being brought on board as Vice President to head up the division. Rivertop Renewables CEO Mike Knauf said consumers won’t buy a "Rivertop" brand product, but will find the green chemicals in what other companies produce.
